The Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) Specialist Library is a unique resource which aims to provide access to good quality, up-to-date, relevant information on complementary and alternative medicine. The content of the library is intended primarily for health professionals, CAM practitioners and researchers, but the majority of the information is also accessible by patients, carers and the general public.

Quackwatch

Billed as "Your Guide to Quackery, Health Fraud, and Intelligent Decisions" this is a site with 21 subsites looking at the evidence base for treatments that are promoted, usually outside the medical establishment, but which do not have a lot of scientific evidence backing them up. It does not agree with the use of the word "alternative" treatments but instead states that treatments should be looked at as a) treatments that work, b) treatments that don't work and c) treatments that we don't know yet if they work or not.
