Manage My Health

Knowledge is of two kinds. We know a subject ourselves, or we know where we can find information upon it.

Samuel Johnson

There is an enormous amount of health information available.  It is impossible for it all to be in one place and kept up to date.

Therefore, knowing how to find the information you need is all-important.  And once you have found it, you need to know how to tell if it is reliable and understand what it means.

When we are looking for information about health care, we need to know:

  • What things will help us?
  • What things are bogus or harmful?
  • What is uncertain?

ThinkWell's aim is to help you to figure out which category things fall into.

Finding good quality information is the key.

What we find depends on where we look, and how.  This section will tell you how to search effectively for information about health care, how to tell if a source is reliable and where to start looking.
